BCDA Presents CGC to French Companies in France

BCDA, builder of the the Philippines’ first green, global and smart metropolis, Clark Green City, was invited by the French Ambassador to the Philippines Thierry Mathou to deliver a presentation on Clark Green City to French companies.

The BCDA presentation will be one of the highlights of the meeting between the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, together with the French Ministry of Environment, Ecology and Transportation, Business France and VIVAPOLIS to mobilize French public and private stakeholders, both companies and agencies, involved in sustainable urbanization and potentially interested in participating in the development of Clark Green City.

BCDA President Arnel Paciano Casanova heads the delegation composed of members of the BCDA board: Directors Gregorio Catapang Jr, Jr., Elmar Gomez and Joseph Juico and Business Development Head Arrey Perez.

Happening at Lyon, France, discussions on city administration, city transformation and sustainable development and city development through financial optimization were led by the Hon. Hubert Julien-Laferriere, Mayor of Ville De Lyon, and Mr. Benoit Juster, General Manager of Egis.

The latter will also present on the urban renewal project of Lyon Part Dieu, a city development project that is roughly of the same size as the first phase of Clark Green City. Among topics are urban density, and the creation of a multimodal transport hub, among others.

This development is an offshoot of the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between BCDA and VIVAPOLIS last December 2015 in Paris, which was witnessed by His Excellency Noynoy Aquino (P-Noy) III, President of the Republic of the Philippines

According to Ambassador Mathou, the event last year was the starting point of a long standing cooperation which France hopes to develop with the Philippines in the sector of sustainable urbanization.

This said MOU was particularly relevant with the implementation of the decisions taken at the COP21 Paris Conference.
